Children swim each day Monday – Thursday in the swimming pool. We have certified lifeguards, who are also certified in First Aid/CPR. Some of our counselors are actively involved with the kids, while other are staying dry on land to assist the lifeguards in watching after children. Pool separates into 2 sections: deep for older kids and shallow for small kids. Those children who cannot swim are wearing floaties and are watched after very closely so they only stay in the shallow area. Keep in mind that your children will need sunblock, counselors make sure to put it on every child.
Every camper participates in our sports rotation. Build skills, stamina, and have fun! Active campers love our sports focus areas, which may combine one or more different games, including soccer, basketball, golf, tennis, archery, and frisbee golf.
Arts and Crafts
At Kids Camp Journey, we love creativity. Arts and crafts is one way campers have the option to either be creative or learn new skills! Each day there are different opportunities for crafts, whether it is water marbling, ballon dart painting and more.
Each camper attends a music activity that they can express their inner talents. In this activity the campers, make instruments and sing praises to our King.
One of the most favorite activities at Camp Journey is our water activities. Everyday kids all ages attend and have such a blast. Some of the water activities that we do is water balloon fights, blob, and waterslide.
Towards the end of the camp there is always a camp game that each camper participates.
We have three services that each camper is required to go to. As a group we sing praises and have a skit based on the topic that is given. Then later the preteens leave and have a different service while the rest of the kids and have a sermon based on the age. In these service the spirt of God just overfills that place.
